Day 8 - THE GOD WHO CAME

MONDAY (DAY 8)

PRAYER FOCUS –The God Who Came

Spend 2-3 minutes confessing your sin to God and ask Him to forgive you as we begin our time together.

Philippians 2:5-11 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. 6 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, 8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. 9 Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The God that we worshiped last week for being the creator of all things humbled himself and came to us as a baby. Sprinkle a small amount of “baby powder” on the back of your hand. Dwell on all the feelings and thoughts that such a smell brings to your mind. Use those thoughts to begin our prayer time tonight.

Spend 5 minutes writing down whatever thoughts, feelings, emotions arise from the smell of the powder.

Spend 3-4 minutes thanking God for demonstrating His love toward you.

4-5 minutes We read earlier that Jesus “humbled Himself”… write down any areas in your life that you struggle with PRIDE

4-5 minutes Asking God to show you ways that you can demonstrate humility by serving others. As He reveals them to you, write them down and act on them ASAP.

Spend 5-6 minutes listening for God to speak to you… write down ANYTHING you think He is saying to you tonight.
