Day 5 - PERSONAL PRAYER
FRIDAY (DAY5)
PERSONAL PRAYER
Spend 2-3 minutes confessing your sin to God and ask Him to forgive you as we begin our time together.
John 14:12-17 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! 15 “If you love me, obey my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.
As Followers of Christ we can ask God to move on our behalf. We must make sure that the things we are asking for are not simply for selfish gain but for God’s glory.
Spend 3-4 minutes writing down any prayer request you want to bring before God. Be Bold and specific. (healing, employment, marriage, strength to break habits….)
If you are praying at home… share your request with each other and pray for one another. If you are alone, call a Christian friend and ask them to pray with you Pray in Jesus Name, with boldness and faith.
For those praying together at the church: stand up and move to the back of the sanctuary as we prepare to pray.
Spend 15 minutes praying for whoever you are with. Ask God to move on their behalf. Along with asking God to hear and answer the requests…thank Him for all He has already done.
Spend 5-6 minutes listening for God to speak to you… write down ANYTHING you think He is saying to you tonight.
