Day 4 - Praying For The Lost

THURSDAY (DAY4 of the Journey)
STAY FOCUSED!!! Fight through the temptation rest. There is NO TIME to rest.... lives are at stake! WE MUST PRESS ON

PRAYING FOR THE LOST (Evangelism)

Spend 2-3 minutes confessing your sin to God and ask Him to forgive you as we begin our time together.

Luke 14: Jesus replied with this story: “A man prepared a great feast and sent out many invitations. 17 When the banquet was ready, he sent his servant to tell the guests, ‘Come, the banquet is ready.’ 18 But they all began making excuses. One said, ‘I have just bought a field and must inspect it. Please excuse me.’ 19 Another said, ‘I have just bought five pairs of oxen, and I want to try them out. Please excuse me.’ 20 Another said, ‘I now have a wife, so I can’t come.’ 21 “The servant returned and told his master what they had said. His master was furious and said, ‘Go quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and invite the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.’ 22 After the servant had done this, he reported, ‘There is still room for more.’ 23 So his master said, ‘Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full. 24 For none of those I first invited will get even the smallest taste of my banquet.’”

As Followers of Christ we must be active in telling others the Good News and inviting them to “The Banquet”

Spend 6-7 minutes asking God to show you the specific people He has placed in your life that are spiritually lost and need to know that He loves them and wants to give them life. Work, Neighbors, Family, Friends… Write their names in your journal. (across the front of the stage are several pieces of paper write their names on them as well )

Sometimes it seems awkward to talk to people about our relationship with Jesus. As a result we miss many evangelism opportunities.

Spend 5-6 minutes asking God to help you see those opportunities and for the courage to speak. If God reveals any specific or creative ways that can share your faith, write them down and use them ASAP

Last night we talked about the importance of having skilled traveling companions on this journey.

Spend just a few minutes praying for the people sitting next to you.

Spend 5-6 minutes listening for God to speak to you… write down ANYTHING you think He is saying to you tonight.
